Singing Season

H.M.Craig, "Singing Season", 24 x 30", acrylic on canvas

The recent warm spell, or mini Summer, has gotten me energized. In the spring, flowers bloom, the sap runs in Maples, and I get to feeling like I need to paint. It helps to be able to sit on the front porch in the sunshine with my trusty collie, Miss Biddies (who, by the way, turned 18 yesterday).

I really wanted to paint tulips in a delft inspired vase. But, I didn't want to paint blue... so I changed the vase to red.   Why, yes, I do have an Artistic License!

When the weather took a turn to more New England type weather, I painted merrily while kind of watching Downton Abbey.

This painting is currently available at Westford Floral Arts.
