The Blue Show: All Things Water

HMCraig Elation
HMCraig, Elation, 36x48", acrylic on canvas

Elation has been accepted into "The Blue Show: All Things Water".  It is a month long show put on by the Marblehead Arts Association and the Salem Arts Association.  There will also be floral interpretations of artwork in the exhibit by the Cottage Gardeners (I'm really interested to see what they come up with!).

April 3-25
Opening Reception April 11, 2-4

From the description:
" Water means many different things to many people. It is a vital ingredient of life. Though it is often a source of inspiration it can also be a destructive force. Some may imagine the light bouncing off the waves on a crisp September morning, while others may remember the devastation from Hurricane Katrina.
Marblehead and other coastal towns are exposed to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Over the years it has been a livelihood for many. For others, the waters around the North Shore have been a source of great pleasure.
Artists from the Marblehead Arts and Salem Arts Associations have been invited to submit paintings, photographs, sculpture, mixed-media and other works of art depicting individual interpretations of what water means to them."

This is the third year in a row that the Marblehead Arts Association and Salem Arts Association have joined forces. Their previous events, such as the Green Show, were covered by local news organizations.
